A catch-all mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a spelling mistake. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be fixed using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to keep in mind that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Creating a catch-all e-mailbox will be unbelievably easy in case you have a Linux cloud hosting with our company. You can activate this feature through our advanced, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage your account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you’ve set up enumerated alphabetically and next to each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly tell you whether a certain mailbox receives all the email messages for a certain domain name or not. With one single click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature at any moment. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you will receive a warning note from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your approval.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to set up a catch-all mailbox easily even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you’ve created with your domain names in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
